Lucien Bickerstaff attends 2025 Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS)

From 6 to 10 January 2025, Lucien Bickerstaff was one of TUMCREATE’s 10 representatives to participate in the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2025 in Singapore, organised by the National Research Foundation, Singapore (NRF).

The summit brought together 342 participants from 49 different countries to discuss hot topics in science, attend inspiring talks and panel discussions, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. 18 eminent scientists – among them Nobel Laureates, Fields Medalists and Turing Awardees – gave insightful lectures and engaged in discussions with early career researchers during small-group sessions. The attendees also took part in site visits, during which they had the opportunity to learn more about the research carried out in the many top-end Singaporean institutes and universities. As a result, the event was the catalyst for creating many new connections and friendships!

Lucien also met with the TUMCREATE division of the tSCN Unit team – Resshaya Roobini Murukesu, Zahrah Alkaff, and Denz Del Villar – who offered him a warm welcome into their side of the world!
